Private collection

A painting signed C. Müller and dated 1914, showing a tall Christmas tree standing in the corner of a room. Paper chains, baubles and candles hang thickly on every branch; beside it are a mahogany chest of drawers with a clock on top and framed pictures on the walls, with a patterned carpet below. With no people in the scene, each ornament on the tree becomes a landmark for the puzzle.
