Terms of Service

By using jigsawlab (the "site") you agree to these terms. Effective 6 September 2026.

1. The service

The site is a free web service for making and solving jigsaw puzzles from public-domain paintings and your own photos. No account is needed. Progress, records and favourites are kept only on your device (browser storage); they are lost if you clear browser data or change devices, and the site cannot restore them.

2. Your photos

Puzzles made from your photos are processed inside the browser and never sent to a server. Use only photos you have rights to; you are responsible for any infringement of copyright or personality rights.

3. Paintings and content

Images on the site are public domain or CC0 works (for example the Art Institute of Chicago open access collection, public-domain works on Wikimedia Commons, the Library of Congress photochrom collection and NASA/ESA public imagery), and each work's page shows its source and licence. The site's own content, including painting descriptions, design and code, belongs to jigsawlab; reproduction beyond personal, non-commercial use requires permission.

4. Prohibited use

Interfering with the service, sending excessive requests to the server, or scraping and redistributing site content is not allowed.

5. Ads and affiliate links

The site may show ads and affiliate links. The site may earn a commission on purchases through affiliate links; sale, delivery and refunds are the seller's responsibility.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for interruptions, data loss or device-related problems.

7. Changes

These terms may change; the updated version applies from the time it is posted on this page.
