A large canvas, more than two metres wide, painted in 1893 at Grangärde in Dalarna, central Sweden, and inscribed with the place name. A horse and sledge make their way along a track cut through fresh snow, and frosted birches and distant hills glitter in clear morning sun. Schultzberg, born in Falun in Dalarna, drew particular attention with big, sunny winter pictures like this one.
