Brightness of Day, one of the four decorative panels of The Times of the Day (1899), each a woman in a landscape framed by a Gothic-arch window and ornament. Here a woman in a yellow-green gown lifts both arms to her head as she stands in a meadow of daisies with blue sky opening behind her. The ornamental frame and the title at the foot are the landmarks, and the white daisies and trailing ribbons help place the gown.
