A watercolour Jenny Nyström painted as the original for a Christmas card issued in 1922. Two children in red and blue caps lean on a snowy rail fence and look down at bullfinches and other small birds pecking at seed in the snow, while one more bullfinch perches on top of a post. The slanting rails of the fence give the puzzle its framework.
