The Christmas 1895 cover of Puck, drawn by Charles Jay Taylor. While a young woman in a blue dress is absorbed in a large magazine, a boy behind her quietly lifts a sprig of mistletoe over her head, a playful nod to the Christmas custom of kissing beneath it. An Art Nouveau border of holly stems frames the picture, with the price of 25 cents set into it at the left.
