A poster for the Christmas number of St. Nicholas, the American monthly magazine for children. On a starry night Santa Claus, pipe in mouth, speeds over the snow in a black motor car piled with a Christmas tree, toys and copies of the magazine, a bell-trimmed ST. NICHOLAS board on its back. Swapping the sleigh for an automobile, he leaves blurred wheels and a spray of snow behind him.
