A poster announcing three holiday numbers of the Illustrated Buffalo Express, on 15, 22 and 29 December 1895, a paper that billed itself as 'an up-to-date newspaper with all the beauty of a magazine'. Above, Santa Claus paddles a canoe loaded with sacks marked Holiday, Christmas and New Year's Express; below, a crowd of hands reaches up clutching coins. Printed in one dark green on yellow, it is best assembled along the finger outlines.
