Summer from The Seasons, Mucha's first series of decorative panels. A dark-haired woman with red poppies in her hair rests on a rock in a white drape that bares her shoulder, leaning drowsily against a vine, her bare feet in the stream below; a cloudy blue sky fills the top, sunset orange glows at the right and ivy trails across the sheet. Red poppies, dark hair and blue sky are the clear landmarks; pale skin and white cloth are fitted along their outlines.
