Spring from The Seasons, Mucha's first series of decorative panels, printed by Champenois and hugely popular. A girl in white with a crown of white blossom and long golden hair bends branches into a lyre on which small birds perch, while a tree in full bloom and a green ground spread behind her. The golden hair and the white dress form a tall central column; join the green background pieces by following the sprays of pink blossom.
