Salomé, a colour lithograph of 1897 published in the print album L'Estampe Moderne. Salomé, her violet hair in a long braid threaded with rings, wears a green headscarf, big hoop earrings and a pink shawl, turning to look at us as she lifts a large tambourine overhead, a jewelled girdle glinting on her pale green gown. The yellow ground, the tambourine's spokes and the rings in the braid are the landmarks; the broad green gown follows its folds.
