The poster for Maurice Donnay's comedy Amants at the Théâtre de la Renaissance in autumn 1895, Mucha's second theatre poster after Gismonda. The sheet is unusually horizontal: a crowd of theatre-goers and lovers bustles around the title, a woman in yellow with a fan at left, one in pink beside a gentleman in evening dress at right, tables of flowers. In the warm ochre, title, gowns and olive border are the landmarks; the faces behind are the fine work.
