Heather from Coastal Cliffs (1902), one of a pair of panels inspired by Brittany. A woman in a white Breton lace headdress with long ribbons faces right, holding sprigs of purple heather to her face, in a brown dress with a red sash; a round ornament in orange and green sits behind her head and a band of orange circles runs along the foot. The white headdress and orange ornament are the landmarks; the broad brown dress is plain and is matched by its folds.
