The Boat by the Palms
Warwick Goble
A boat is moored on a palm-lined shore with figures gathered beside it. The Pentamerone is set in the Mediterranean, so Goble used warmer, brighter colour here than in his northern fairy-tale work. Sky, water and palms divide the picture into three bands, which makes it easy to build in large blocks.
