Una barca amarrada en una orilla bordeada de palmeras, con unas figuras reunidas a su lado. El Pentamerón transcurre en el Mediterráneo, así que Goble usó aquí un color más cálido y luminoso que en sus cuentos nórdicos. Cielo, agua y palmeras dividen el cuadro en tres franjas, lo que facilita construir en bloques grandes.
