A Family of Pugs
Charles Burton Barber
A heap of pugs, painted in 1877. In Victorian Britain the pug was an upper-class dog, and Barber took commissions like this one at the height of the fashion. Several bodies of nearly the same colour overlap, so this is a picture you assemble by checking which way each face is turned.
