A cat in a kimono taps an octopus on the head. Among Kuniyoshi’s anthropomorphic cat prints this is one of the most lavish, with each pattern in the robe printed from its own block. The dense patterning makes it demanding, though the red of the octopus gives you a fixed point to work from.
