A star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a neighbour of our galaxy, and the largest and brightest such region near the Milky Way. In Webb's infrared image a cluster of blue stars at the centre has carved out the surrounding gas with its fierce light, leaving spidery filaments that gave the nebula its name. The view spans about 340 light-years.
