c. 1890
Collection
Art Institute of Chicago
Medium
Oil on canvas

A street in Moret-sur-Loing, the town near the forest of Fontainebleau where Sisley spent his last twenty years. Painted around 1890, the lane's walls glow pink and cream in slanting sun with the church tower at the end. He died there in poverty; his prices rose only after his death.
