The Four Graces
Carl Reichert
Carl Reichert, an animal painter from Graz, put red caps on four kittens and called the result The Four Graces. It is a joke at the expense of classical painting, though the cats themselves look thoroughly unimpressed. Red, black and white repeat at regular intervals, so the picture stays readable even at a high piece count.
