The Precious Stones, a series of decorative panels where four gems become women, here four sheets side by side. Each sits beneath a round halo in a dress of her stone's colour among matching flowers: from left, Topaz in yellow with white blossoms, Ruby in red with large red flowers, Amethyst in violet with pink blooms and Emerald in green with blue flowers. As the panels differ so clearly in colour, sort the pieces into four groups first and build each round halo before the rest.
