Laurel
Alphonse Mucha
Laurel (1901), the companion to Ivy. The woman in the circle faces left with laurel leaves in her hair and long red ribbons trailing down, set against a green mosaic with brown teardrop ornaments; around the circle runs a pale green laurel pattern with a band of leaves at the foot. The red ribbons and the teardrop mosaic are the landmarks; the faint leaf pattern is matched by the direction of the leaves.
