Fruit (1897), issued as a pair with Flower. A woman with orange leaves and blossoms in her dark hair looks back over her shoulder, cradling grapes, peaches, apples and a pear, her bare shoulder ringed by a gold spiral bracelet and her blue drapery set against a warm yellow ground under an arched top. Face and colourful fruit are the landmarks; the plain corners above the arch and the yellow ground are best left for last.
