John Anster Fitzgerald painted fairies so exclusively that he was known as "Fairy Fitzgerald". Victorian Britain had a whole genre of fairy painting — the far side of the world people went looking for while industry pressed in on every other side. Small figures are packed across the surface, which makes this especially rewarding at a high piece count.
