A travel poster for the P.L.M. railway from Paris to the Mediterranean, advertising Monaco and Monte-Carlo, and one of Mucha's most famous. A young woman in white kneels by the sea with her hands clasped before her chin, ringed by great circles of lilac and hydrangea with feather-like ornaments spreading from them, a pale sky and blue sea beyond. Build the flower rings first, strong in colour and pattern, then fill the plain sky and sea from the red lettering at the top and the text at the bottom.
