Suzuki Harunobu
From the Eight Views of the Parlour of 1766 by Harunobu, the artist who perfected full-colour nishiki-e printing. The wit of the series lies in turning the "evening snow" of the Chinese eight views into women fluffing silk floss indoors. Pale colours and fine lines make an elegant print.
