A ten-panel screen of books, writing implements, ceramics, flowers and fruit arranged on shelves. The chaekgeori genre flourished under King Jeongjo, who promoted learning, and it borrowed Western perspective and shading so that the shelves seem to project from the silk. Yi Taek-gyun signed his work by hiding his name on a painted seal, a trick you can hunt for here.
