Vincent van Gogh
Pintado en la primera semana de la estancia de van Gogh en el sanatorio de Saint-Rémy, a partir de los lirios de su jardín. Cada pétalo violeta está perfilado en azul oscuro y un único lirio blanco a la izquierda deja respirar la composición. La composición debe mucho a la estampa japonesa; el cuadro se hizo famoso al marcar un récord de subasta en 1987.
