A palace of white spires under a pale sky, with small figures passing in front of it. Among Sterrett’s pictures this is where the geometry of Art Deco shows most plainly, the repeated spires becoming pattern in themselves. The repetition makes it hard, but the spires differ slightly in height and that is the clue.
