A sawmill and chimneys on the outskirts of Paris, painted around 1893 by the self-taught customs clerk Henri Rousseau. Famous for his jungles, he also painted many ordinary views around Paris, drawing each tree with a child's care. White walls, grey sky and green trees form simple planes.
