Boaters having lunch on the terrace of the Restaurant Fournaise on the island at Chatou on the Seine, 1875. Renoir was a regular there and six years later painted his large Luncheon of the Boating Party at the same spot. The river beyond the trellis and the white table are the bright pieces.
