The Matterhorn after Sunset, from Staffelalp

The Matterhorn seen from the Staffelalp above Zermatt, flushed with evening light. Since its first ascent in 1865 the peak has been the emblem of Alpine tourism, and the photochrom presents it like a picture postcard, pink sky against green pasture.
