The Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro, Paris Exposition of 1900
Photochrom print
The Trocadéro palace seen through the base of the Eiffel Tower during the Paris Exposition of 1900. The tower had been repainted yellow for the fair, and the photochrom preserves that colour. It shows the tower at eleven years old, when it was still regarded as a temporary structure.
