Tulip
William Morris
An early printed cotton designed by Morris in 1875: white tulips and leaves curling over a blue ground. He had just opened his own dyeworks to experiment with indigo, and the blue of this cloth is the result. With a single-colour ground, you match by the outlines of the tulips.
