Cawing Crow
Ohara Koson
A crow on a snow-laden branch opens its beak to caw. Ohara Koson made bird-and-flower prints in the early twentieth century largely for export, winning great popularity in Europe and America, and here the sheen of black feathers and the white of snow alone convey the stillness of a winter morning.
