Hamamatsu from Hiroshige's small-format Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido, the road between Edo and Kyoto, around 1837. Travellers warm themselves at a fire under a pine while Hamamatsu castle shows in the distance. Ukiyo-e prints, with flat colour and crisp outlines, suit puzzles well.
