Die Überquerung der Sandbänke des Tenryū-Flusses mit der Fähre bei Mitsuke, der achtundzwanzigsten Station des Tōkaidō. Der Fluss war so breit, dass Reisende zweimal das Boot wechselten; Hiroshige schichtet ferne Boote im Dunst hinter die Fährleute im Vordergrund und erzeugt so Tiefe. Grauer Dunst, blaues Wasser und gelbe Sandbank bilden die Schichten.
