Eugène Delacroix
Pintado para conmemorar la Revolución de Julio de 1830, muestra a la Libertad avanzando sobre una barricada con la bandera tricolor y encabezando a ciudadanos de toda clase: un burgués con chistera, un muchacho con pistolas, un obrero. Entre el humo se alzan las torres de Notre-Dame. Delacroix escribió que, ya que no había combatido por su país, al menos pintaría por él.
