Buddhist Temple on the Road to Galle, Ceylon

A Buddhist temple on the road from Colombo to Galle in Ceylon, today's Sri Lanka. The white stupa, palms and bullock cart convey daily life on the Indian Ocean island in the 1890s. The Photoglob company eagerly sold exotic scenes from beyond Europe as well.
