Paul Cezanne
Gemalt um 1873, als Cézanne in Auvers-sur-Oise lebte und von seinem Nachbarn Pissarro lernte. Dächer und Felder fügen sich wie Flickwerk zusammen, und der Pinselstrich ist noch weich, nah am Impressionismus. Van Gogh sollte dasselbe Dorf siebzehn Jahre später malen; er liegt dort begraben.
