Las cataratas del Niágara pintadas en 1830 por Thomas Cole, fundador de la Escuela del Río Hudson. Dos indígenas están de pie sobre las rocas del primer plano y un arcoíris se arquea sobre el salto. Cole pintó la naturaleza salvaje estadounidense antes de su explotación y abogó por conservarla.
