A poster for the Reims champagne house Ruinart Père et Fils, the first champagne poster Mucha made. A blonde woman whose hair spreads out like a great fan, in a pale white dress with a jade-green drape, raises a glass of champagne while bubbles scatter above it like stars and a red ground fills the space behind her. Bold brown lettering, red ground and rippling hair separate cleanly by colour, and the plain pale pieces find their places by the stars and the letters.
