Una figura se sitúa en un diseño construido sobre el contraste entre el rosa y el negro. Robinson fue uno de tres hermanos ilustradores —Thomas y William Heath eran los otros— y de los tres fue el que usó el color con más audacia. Una gran zona negra da una frontera firme contra la que ordenar.
