Frutas y pimientos del sur de Francia, pintados en 1881 tras el viaje de Renoir al Mediterráneo. Ese año vio a Rafael en Italia y empezó a dibujar las formas con más firmeza; los contornos nítidos de la fruta muestran el cambio. Rojos, amarillos y verdes se dispersan por el mantel blanco.
