Eugène Delacroix
Una de las cacerías de leones que Delacroix pintó una y otra vez hasta sus últimos años, fundiendo recuerdos de su viaje a Marruecos de 1832 con las escenas de caza de Rubens; esta versión es de 1860. Caballos, leones y hombres se anudan en una sola masa, y hay que acercarse para distinguir quién es quién. La tela roja y un caballo blanco son las marcas dentro de la maraña oscura.
